Sophie Avalos Ruiz, 87, of Corpus Christi and previously a long time resident of Robstown passed away on December 22, 2015. She was born on October 21, 1928 to Guadalupe and Ben Avalos. She was a teacher’s aide for special education students for the Robstown ISD. She sold Avon and worked in retail. She loved to sew, refinish and reupholster furniture and gardening.
